Diploma Summary


Logistics and Supply Chain Management course at ABM College introduces students to Supply Chain Management, defines its importance, briefs them on its origin, appraises the foundation, and explains the current trend in Supply Chain Management. Students will learn all intermediate processing, transportation, storage activities, Point of Sale, as well as reverse Logistics.  They will also be taught how to measure the performance of a Supply Chain, and how to optimize it for better results. 

Graduates of the Logistics and Supply Chain Management Diploma program will learn the relationship between product design, process design and the associated costs with the different processes and investigate how to improve the existing process to achieve enhanced customer service. On completion of the program, students can execute the buying process in collaboration with other interfacing functions within the company to obtain the right material, in the right quantities, with the right delivery (time and place), from the right source, and at the right price.

  • Students will be able to measure and monitor supplier performance and provide the basis for continuous improvement to enhance supplier quality, cost, and delivery.
  • Students will learn to develop the production plan based on the planning horizon, being a part of the Sales and Operations Planning (SOP) process.
  • With the Capacity Management module students can translate the priority plan into the hours of capacity required in manufacturing to make the items in the priority plan.
