Standard Admission

1. Successful completion of Grade 12 or equivalent. 2. Passing score on the Wonderlic Scholastic Level Exam. 3. Passing score on the Accuplacer Test. 4. Successful interview with ABM College Admissions.

Mature Admission

Introduction to Project Management, Value delivery & Principles

This course is designed to provide students with an overview of project management, project management principles, along with how project management delivers value to business or organizations. This course will deliver particular values to the students who aspire for a successful career in project management.

Project Management Processes

Every project requires a series of processes to bring it to success. These processes are somewhat consistent regardless of the industry or the type of deliverables. A project manager must have sound knowledge of these processes. This course has been designed keeping this importance in sight. The course covers a comprehensive discussion of the different processes used in project management.

Stakeholder & Team Management

This course has combined two important concepts of project management - Stakeholders and Teams. Both are integral parts of any project and managing stakeholders and teams successfully is crucial for successful project. Stakeholder management involves identifying, understanding, and engaging with individuals or groups who have a vested interest or are impacted by a projects. This course has been designed to instill students with essential knowledge of managing stakeholders along with an elaborate discussion on creating, managing, and leading teams with a goal of successfully managing a project.

Development Approach & Project Life Cycle

For successful completion and delivery of a project managers are expected to have sound knowledge of the series of phases that a project passes through from its start to its completion along with having sound knowledge in the methods used to create and evolve the product, service, or result during the project life cycle. This course combines these two areas of knowledge and includes a comprehensive discussion on of the development approaches and project life cycle phases to prepare students for successful project management.

Project Management Communication

Communication is key for any project. Effective business communication is vital for the smooth functioning of management, as it allows individuals and groups to coordinate their actions, share information, resolve conflicts and collaborate toward achieving common goals. Today’s business projects are amalgamation of multiple external and internal individuals and teams making it an absolute necessary for the management to be familiar with details of effective communication. This course provides a comprehensive curriculum focusing on teaching important topics of both written and spoken communication.

Project Planning

Planning is an essential part of project management. Planning helps teams avoid potential problems and roadblocks to ensure the project stays on track. Planning brings confidence into a team by preparing them for the unforeseen adversaries. Planning also helps by ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required standard. Planning facilitates effective communication between all members of a project team and help to stay them on the same page. This course provides a holistic overview of different types of planning that must be undertaken at different phases of a project to ensure effective project completion.

Uncertainty Management

There can not be a project without risks which makes it necessary for managers to be prepared to tackle any uncertainty that might threaten the successful completion of a project. In this course students will focus on developing far ranging competencies to manage risks that may affect any project. Significant emphasis has been placed to develop skills in identifying risks, qualifying and quantifying risks, risk response planning and risk response control.

Project Management Software

This course is designed to provide students with essential knowledge and practice of project management concepts and fundamentals using Microsoft Project to manage projects.

Quality and Control

The objective of this course is to demonstrate students the generally recognized practices of project quality management and quality control. Students shall learn to manage the processes to assure the project meets the goals it predetermined. This course will also impart the fundamental definitions of quality concepts and terminology and describe the processes in quality planning, quality assurance, and quality control. Students will be able to determine quality goals including customer satisfaction and capable processes and execute them.

Project Management Models and Artifacts

This course will build high-level understanding of some commonly used models, methods, and artifacts, which are valuable in managing projects. Comprehensive discussions with case studies and examples will be used to build a strong understanding of every details of project management.

Project Scheduling Techniques

This course offers a wide-ranging discussions to help students develop the skills and techniques to schedule and estimate costs of projects throughout the project life cycle using standard PMI project management tools. Students are introduced to scheduling and cost management principles and techniques that ensure projects are delivered within the approved constraints.

Project Pricing and Estimating

Costs are major concerns for any project. It is imperative that the managers deliver a project within the approved cost constrains. This course has been designed to give students wide spread knowledge on estimating and managing project budget and costs and stay within approved constrains. The topics include but not limited to global pricing strategies, pricing process, overhead rates, pricing review procedure, systems pricing, estimating high-risk projects.

PMBOK & Standard

This course will discuss in depth the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) guide, ways to use it properly, explain Project Management Institute (PMI) and the project management standard specified by the Institute. This course will also cover any topic, which could not be covered in other courses.

Capstone Career Prep

This course will equip students with the fundamentals of job search and job market to expand career path. The topics will include cover letter and resume writing, interview preparation, effective networking strategies, and creating LinkedIn and indeed profile. Students will also have opportunities to undertake personality tests to find out the best suited paths for their careers.

Practicum

Students embark on a 4-week practicum placement to gain practical and hands-on experience. Students have the opportunity to apply the knowledge and skills they've attained with case facts, maintaining digital databases.

Procurement Management

This course is designed to give students comprehensive idea about the role and impact of procurement management on the overall of success of projects. Along with an extensive focus on the fundamentals of procurement and supply chain, this course offers the most recent topics of the field for an holistic understanding of procurement management.
