Program Description

The Accounting and Payroll Administration diploma is the language of most businesses. A career in accounting can give you a chance to work in virtually any industry imaginable, public or private, as a vast majority of Canadian companies require accounting and payroll personnel. The integration of accounting, Canadian payroll and tax knowledge, this program provides is a comprehensive understanding of both corporate financial statements and cash flow statements. It includes full accounting cycles and payroll related administration and tax implications. As a graduate you leave with the full knowledge of the industry tools, as well as, the experience offered through the mandatory practicum at the end of the program.

Course Description: This module will provide students with the computer skills needed to work in a fast-paced environment. Students will build skills in keyboarding, internet use, and learn Microsoft Office Suite applications.

Course Description: This module will teach students how to manage book keeping for business.

Course Description: Students will learn how to create finical statements and related disclosures.

Course Description: Students will learn the taxation process for personal and corporate clients.

Course Description: This module is about Sage and QuickBooks, the latest software used within the industry.

Course Description: Student will learn how to set up and manage the payroll system for clients.

Course Description: Students will learn how to develop a professional resume to put forward for employers.

Course Description: Students will gain practical and hands-on experience to apply the knowledge and skills they've learnt in class in the real world.
