It’s that time of the year when students are filled with a heavy mix of emotions – tears, joy, happiness, celebration, and many more. The moment which lets you feel proud of yourself that you achieve a milestone and are ready to kickstart your career. Yes! We are talking about graduation. It is a moment to cherish for a lifetime and the beginning of a new journey. We wish all our graduates the very best for the future! ABM College recently held its Graduation where more than 300 students were awarded with their Diplomas. Students with honours and distinction were also celebrated by the staff and their peers.
Dr. Mohammad Baten
Dr. Mohammad Baten, President of ABM College opened the ceremony with a welcome and motivational speech. He motivated all the students to reach higher and achieve success. Dr. Baten congratulated the students for their hard work and dedication. He also thanked them for their contributions to the college. He concluded his speech with a remark, “Education that gets you hired”. If any student can’t find a job in 30 days, they can visit him personally. The Employment Counsellors and Practicum Coordinators at ABM College can help you with job assistance.
Esteemed Guests
To grace the occasion there were numerous guests from Calgary region. Among them were political dignitaries, marketers, employers, alumni, and representatives from the college. They were presented with a plaque of appreciation for their support. The ceremony started with the national anthem and concluded with the traditional cap tossing.

Along with these guests there were congratulatory messages from Prime Minister of Canada, Justin Trudeau, Danielle Smith, Premier of Alberta, Jyoti Gondek, Mayor of Calgary, Mickey Amery, Office of the Minister – MLA Calgary – Cross, Ric Mclver, Minister, and MLA Calgary-Hays.
Valedictorian Speech
Valedictorian, Ozioma Etang from Addictions and Community Service Worker Diploma Program shared her thoughts and encouraged all the graduates to strive for success in their life with a right career option. She shares how every opportunity can help you grow more.
She further added that it is important to take risks and seize every opportunity that comes your way:
“Beyond the laughter and the obstacles, what stands out the most is the resilience and determination we have all shown. We have encountered challenging times, both academically and personally, but we’ve become stronger, more determined, and ready to take on the world. Our experiences within this citadel of learning have equipped us with knowledge, skills, and the confidence to make a real difference.”
She concluded her speech with the message of staying positive and motivated to reach your goals. As we move to the next chapter of our lives, the charge before us is not the length of time we have spent in school, but the positive difference we are willing to make in our different communities. Truly, society eagerly awaits what we can do differently to make their world a better place.

Final Thoughts
The ceremony concluded with the distribution of the diplomas and then all the graduates tossed their hats into the air in triumph. This was the most awaited moment for every graduate. The graduates celebrated with their families and friends, sharing the moment of joy. The ceremony was a powerful reminder of the importance of hard work and dedication. It was truly a day to remember.
