It’s a Wrap on 2024, Time to Reminisce on the Highlights! 

Every year brings new students, new hopes, and new programs. Let’s look back at 2024, what happened at ABM College in 2024, and how it aims to welcome 2025. 

ABM College introduced 4 new programs in 2024, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Immigration Assistant, Project Management, and NACC Pharmacy Assistant. This school aims to bring programs that will help students and meet the current demand for jobs in the industry. 

Before we welcome 2025, let’s look at 2024 how it started and how it is ending. 

Valentine’s Day

One of the most heartwarming traditions at ABM is celebrating this special day by sending messages on heart-shaped notes to our staff members, a practice that holds great significance within our ABM community. This tradition allows us to express our appreciation and love for the incredible work that our staff members do every day. The process involves each member of the ABM community writing personalized messages on heart-shaped paper, which can range from simple expressions of gratitude to heartfelt anecdotes illustrating how a staff member has positively influenced their ABM experience. 

After all the messages are collected, they are carefully compiled and distributed to the respective staff members, who are often surprised and deeply touched by the outpouring of love and appreciation. This gesture serves as a poignant reminder of the positive impact they have on the lives of those around them.

Multiculturalism Day 

ABM College celebrates Multiculturalism Day with great enthusiasm. All the employees gathered for a great celebration, dressed up in their traditional costumes and walked a virtual runway to represent their country. It was a special day for all gathered there as it was dedicated to honoring and embracing the blend of cultures that make our community vibrant and diverse. From captivating dances of different traditions to a feast of delicious food representing various culinary delights, the event truly embodies the spirit of unity in diversity. Also team celebrated, Philippine Independence Day with a Fun-Filled Friday!

Summer Graduation – A Big Milestone

More than 350 students attended our 2024 Summer Graduation. Different programs, different hopes and different career perspectives. To grace the occasion there were numerous guests from the Calgary region. Among them were political dignitaries, marketers, employers, alumni, and representatives from the college. They were presented with a plaque of appreciation for their support. The ceremony started with the national anthem and concluded with the traditional cap tossing.

Calgary Stampede 2024

The Calgary Stampede season unites our Calgarian community in a spirit of joy and togetherness. ABM College’s Stampede Breakfast is more than just a meal; it’s a celebration of community and culture. Held on July 12, 2024, the event was a morning filled with delicious food, lively entertainment, and cultural showcases. Each year, ABM College pulls out all the stops to create an inclusive and festive atmosphere for attendees.

Alumni Meet & Greet

It was a great evening at ABM’s first Alumni Meet & Greet! It was a wonderful opportunity to reconnect with fellow alumni, share stories, and celebrate the journeys together. The engaging program, inspiring speakers, and fun activities made for a memorable experience. Thanks to everyone who joined us! Here’s to building lasting connections and celebrating our successes!

Thanksgiving Food Drive 

Together, we can make a difference! ABM staff made generous donations to the Calgary Food Bank during the Thanksgiving Food Drive. At ABM College, we believe in giving back to our community and supporting those in need. Let’s continue to spread kindness and compassion! 

Spreading Smiles and Giving Back

To give back to society and work for society, ABM employees visited the Franklin C-Train Station to share free food with our community. It was our way of showing our appreciation to our neighbors. Whenever possible, Team ABM believes in helping others, even if just to bring a smile to their face and a warm meal to their stomach.  

Halloween 

It was fantastic to see everyone dressed up in their Halloween costumes! The ABM team always looks forward to uniting everyone and creating a vibrant atmosphere of celebration. Let’s keep the spirit alive and make this Halloween unforgettable! Not only this, but a Pumpkin carving and painting event was organized. The hauntingly beautiful pumpkins were a sight to see! The artistic flair and teamwork made this Halloween celebration a fun and unforgettable event. 

Annual Party 2024

Parties always hold a special place, and the Annual Party is the most anticipated amongst staff. Likewise, every year ABM College hosts its annual party to conclude the year on a positive note and is all set to welcome new students and year 2025. It’s always a special day to remember, capturing the best moments among its co-workers. The event started with an opening speech by Dr. Mohammad Baten, the President of ABM, who expressed his gratitude to all staff members for their contributions to ABM College and its successful journey. He emphasized the importance of fostering strong relationships, as they contribute to personal growth and career success. Following him, Dylan McBride, our Operations Manager, reflected on a challenging and rewarding speech.

Dance performances by different departments and fun-filled games were the show-stoppers of the party night. Everyone present had great fun.

As 2024 comes to a close, the ABM team is celebrating with festive dinners and delicious lunches! It’s the perfect time to savour every bite, create unforgettable memories, and set our sights on exciting resolutions for 2025! Happy holidays from all of us to you! May your season be filled with joy, laughter, and cherished moments with loved ones. Here’s to embracing new beginnings and all the new year’s possibilities!
